The São Paulo Court scheduled the trial of , accused of persecution by his ex-wife, for after the elections.
Bove, who is a candidate for re-election, was charged by the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of failing to comply with protective measures, the penalty for which is two to five years in prison and a fine. He allegedly violated the court order on ten occasions.
The trial was scheduled for October 6, the same date on which the parliamentarian’s interrogation is scheduled. The election will take place two days before (4).
By ratifying receipt of the complaints and rejecting the defense’s request for summary acquittal, the Court established that, if the parliamentarian is unable to appear on the designated date, he must make a formal notification within ten days.
A new date can then be set, taking into account the deputy’s availability, as long as the hearing takes place between October 8th and October 23rd.

The deputy denied the accusations and told the court that the influencer committed slander and defamation. On social media, citing procedural secrecy, he stated that his “hands were tied and his mouth was gagged”. “But I’m sure that, at the right time, the truth will be reestablished.”
In a speech to the Legislative Assembly, he stated: “Facts always have two sides. Stories, prints and conversations can be easily manipulated.”

He reinforces that he never committed any illegality, never threatened or attacked her, clarifying that he received the complaint with enormous surprise, given the precarious nature of the investigation and that he denies it. It is emphasized that the defense is taking all appropriate measures to adequately clarify the facts, reiterating that Lucas trusts in the Justice system and remains committed to prove his complete innocence, adding that this does not represent an obstacle or impediment to his candidacy in this year’s elections.”
