The Well restaurant, in Vale do Lobo, in the Algarve, once again attracted attention after being one of the choices of pastry chef Marco Costa on a family visit to the region. The space, on the seafront, combines a restaurant, swimming pool and a gastronomic offer that changes according to the time of day, in a concept designed to follow the different rhythms of those who pass through the place.

According to the restaurant, Well positions itself as a seaside bar and restaurant, focusing on an experience that combines food, drink and a leisure environment, in a setting marked by its proximity to the beach and an environment dominated by palm trees and outdoor areas.

Between relaxed lunch and sophisticated dinner

During the day, the atmosphere is more informal, with guests dividing their time between the pool and the dining area. The concept of the space focuses on a relaxed style, inspired by Bali and an aesthetic of beach clubcreating an atmosphere that favors lighter meals and longer meetings.

The daytime menu includes a varied selection that goes beyond sushi, an area where the restaurant gained notoriety. There are sandwiches, sandwiches on bread and poke bowls, with prices starting at 24 euros and going up to 30 euros, depending on the choice.

When the sun sets, it changes everything

At night, the space changes the atmosphere and takes on a more dinner-oriented profile. The lighting, music and service layout create a different context to that experienced at lunch, with a stronger focus on a complete meal experience.

The restaurant explains that the evening menu is broader and includes fish, seafood and meat dishes. Among the proposals are the Santa Luzia octopus à lagareiro for 40 euros, the entrecôte with fries for 48 euros and tiger prawns with lemon and coriander rice for 58 euros.

Letter that brings together several influences

Sushi remains one of the central elements of Well’s identity. This is one of the areas that most distinguishes the restaurant in Vale do Lobo, being identified as one of the local references in this segment. But the offer is not limited to Japanese cuisine. There are also traditional Portuguese dishes, burgers, salads and selected meats, in an attempt to respond to different customer profiles and food preferences.
