President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) has the highest rejection among all pre-candidates for the Presidency in this year’s elections, with 48% saying they would not vote for the president, according to a Datafolha survey released this Saturday, 11. The PT’s main opponent, senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), has a 46% rejection.
In practice, the two are tied in terms of rejection, as the survey’s margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points. Datafolha interviewed 2,004 people over the age of 16 in 137 cities, between Tuesday the 7th and Thursday the 9th. The survey is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) with number BR-03770/2026.
Lula and Flávio are also the pre-candidates best known to voters. In total, 81% said they knew the PT member a little or very well, while 58% knew the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro a lot or a little. Only 1% said they did not know Lula, while 7% said the same about the senator.
Other pre-candidates
After Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro, all other pre-candidates are technically tied in terms of rejection. Former federal deputy Cabo Daciolo (Mobiliza) appears with 19%, closely followed by former governor of Minas Gerais Romeu Zema (Novo) and Renan Santos (Missão), with 17% each; and by former governor of Goiás Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) and former minister Aldo Rebelo (DC), with 16% each.
Zema and Caiado are the best known after Lula and Flávio. In total, 26% said they knew the former governor of Minas Gerais very well or somewhat, and 23%, the former governor of Goiás. Next were Cabo Daciolo (19%), Aldo Rebelo (14%) and Renan Santos (10%).
