Washington – The Peace Council for the Gaza Strip initiated by US President Donald Trump has received only a fraction of the $17 billion promised. This means that there is a lack of financial resources for the reconstruction of the region devastated in the war with Israel. Of 10 countries that had promised money, only three – the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and the United States itself – had actually provided funds, several people familiar with the matter said on Friday.
