Artemis II: what the crew revealed after returning from the Moon

The quartet of astronauts, Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, Victor Glover and Jeremy Hansen, have traveled further in space than any other human being

NASA Artemis II astronauts Jeremy Hansen, Christina Koch, Victor Glover and Commander Reid Wiseman of the Canadian Space Agency participated in a welcoming ceremony at Joint Reserve Base Ellington Field in Houston.

Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch e Jeremy Hansen, os four astronauts from the crew of the Artemis II mission, talked about the space trip they took in towards the Moon at a press conference.

The event was broadcast live this Saturday (11) on the company’s YouTube channel. . In addition to thanking the organization’s families and employees, the four spoke briefly about the experience.

Reid was the first to speak: “We are united forever. No one here will ever know what the four of us went through together. And it was the most special thing that ever happened in my life.”

Victor came next. “I would like to thank our leadership and it has changed since we arrived here in April 2023, but the quality has not. And we are lucky to be in this agency [Nasa] at this moment, and togethers”, he stated.

Christina reflected on her vision of space: “What impressed me was not necessarily just the Earth, It was all darkness around her. Earth was just a lifeboat sailing undisturbed in the universe.”

Jeremy closed the first statements: “When you look at us here, you are not looking at us. We are a mirror reflecting you. And if you like what you see, then look a little closer. This is you.”

There were also moments of good humor, like when Reid said that intended to eat at a fast food chain soonor when Jeremy joked that he “haven’t been this far away” from Wiseman in a long time when they were on opposite sides of the stage. The colleague got up and sat next to him.
