"I ordered the BLOCKADE of all ships trying to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz": Trump reacts to the failure of negotiations with Iran and leaves a guarantee

The high-level talks, which took place in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Saturday and Sunday, ended without agreement after 21 hours of negotiations. In reaction to the failure, Trump guarantees: “IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”

Donald Trump’s reaction to the failure of negotiations between the United States and Iran took a few hours, but was blunt. In a series of two long publications on the social network Truth Social, the US president announced his intention to immediately initiate a naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, accusing Tehran of refusing to abandon its nuclear ambitions.

“With immediate effect, the United States Navy, the best in the world, will begin the process of BLOCKING any and all ships that attempt to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz,” the US president began by saying.

In the same publication, Trump accused Tehran of using the passage as a form of international pressure. “THIS IS WORLDWIDE EXTORTION, and the leaders of countries, especially the United States of America, will never be extorted”, he stated, adding that he ordered the US Navy to intercept vessels that have paid fees to Iran, stressing that “no one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas”.

The tone of the statements became even harsher as he warned that any Iranian attack would have severe consequences. “Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be DESTROYED!”

“Furthermore, and at the appropriate time, we are fully ‘READY AND ARMED’, and our Armed Forces will wipe out what little is left of Iran!”, added Trump in one of two publications made hours after the end of negotiations with Iran.

The high-level talks, which took place in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Saturday and Sunday, ended without agreement after 21 hours of negotiations. Confirmation of the failure came through the voice of the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, who confirmed the outcome, highlighting that Washington’s main objective was not achieved.

“But the truth is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek to obtain a nuclear weapon, nor will they seek the tools that would allow them to quickly obtain a nuclear weapon,” he told reporters. “That is the central objective of the president of the United States. And that is what we tried to achieve through these negotiations.”

On the Iranian side, state television Irib attributed the failure of the negotiations to the “irrational demands” of the United States, stating that, despite several initiatives by the Iranian delegation, it was not possible to reach an understanding.

“IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”

In a second publication, also made in Truth Social, Trump accused Tehran of not fulfilling its promise to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, blaming the country for global instability. “Iran promised to open the Strait of Hormuz and deliberately failed to do so. This has caused anxiety, disruption and suffering to many people and countries around the world.”

The American president also revealed that he had been informed about the progress of the negotiations by vice-president JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, also praising the Pakistani leadership.

“I was fully briefed by Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner about the meeting that took place in Islamabad, through the gracious and very capable leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan. They are truly extraordinary men.”

Despite recognizing that some points of the negotiations could be considered positive, Trump reiterated that the nuclear issue was decisive for the failure of the talks. “I could go into great detail and talk about much of what has been achieved, but there is only one thing that matters — IRAN IS NOT WILLING TO ABANDON ITS NUCLEAR AMBITIONS!”

The president also highlighted that, although the representatives of both countries developed a cordial relationship during the negotiations, this did not change the Iranian position on the essential point. “As I have always said, from the beginning and for many years, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!”
