Vienna – This year’s Concordia Prize for extraordinary journalistic achievements in the press freedom category goes to Fritz Espenlaub, Jasmin Körber, Christian Schiffer and Klaus Uhrig for their podcast series “The Peter Thiel Story” (Deutschlandfunk). The series shows “using the example of US investor Peter Thiel how a powerful, financially strong network can restrict, undermine and ultimately destroy fundamental rights and freedoms, including free reporting,” says the jury’s statement.
