Orbán era comes to an end in Hungary, landslide victory for Péter Magyar


In the Hungarian parliamentary election on Sunday, Péter Magyar’s opposition party Tisza won a two-thirds majority with a spectacular landslide victory. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán admitted defeat in a short speech to supporters on election night. After 94.7 percent of the votes were counted, Magyar’s Tisza had 138 of the 199 seats. Prime Minister Orbán’s Fidesz, which has ruled since 2010, had 54 seats, while the right-wing extremist party Mi Hazánk had seven.
