The old and new leaders will meet this Tuesday (14) in Brasília to take stock of the party affiliation window and discuss the national positioning for the October election.
The party, which went through a process of emptying itself in recent years, managed to increase its bench in the Chamber of Deputies and join some important regional leaders.
The party now has 20 federal deputies, compared to 13 at the beginning of the year, and is already making plans to elect at least 35. Among the new affiliations, one of the main highlights
Historical toucans should participate in the meeting in the federal capital, such as federal deputy Aécio Neves (MG), the former governor of Goiás Marconi Perillo, the former senator Tasso Jereissati (CE) and the former minister Ciro Gomes, who returned to the party. And also new members.
“Having achieved the goal of growing during the window, we will now debate our direction on the national stage”, says Aécio, who presides over the party nationally.
He says that the objective is to build a strong central project. One idea is to start a series of meetings until the middle of the year, with the participation of leaders such as former president Michel Temer (MDB) and pre-candidates for president Aldo Rebelo (DC) and
“We don’t have to be afraid of going into dispute, and we don’t rule out any hypothesis, not even that the PSDB will lead a project that deviates from the alternatives proposed so far”, stated Aécio.
At the meeting, the party should also launch a new brand: “PSDB stronger for Brazil”.
