Located in the north of Rio de Janeiro, Porto do Açu is the largest private deep-water port-industry complex in Latin America.

In operation since 2014, it is managed by Porto do Açu Operações, a partnership between Prumo Logística and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges International.

Currently, 30 companies are already installed in the complex, including world-class customers and partners.

With consolidated operations in ore, oil and natural gas, the terminal accelerates its industrialization with a focus on low-carbon projects.

According to the companies, the condominium will be a non-bonded industrial retro area intended for companies from different sectors that need storage space, operational support and the implementation of logistics bases close to the terminals.

The initial phase will be implemented in a strategic location, close to the port terminals, ensuring easy access and a modern, safe infrastructure suitable for immediate operation.

When completed, the condominium should reach 200 thousand m² of developed area, including patios, warehouses and modular offices.

The project will also offer the “built to suit” modality, which should enable the development of structures to meet the specific needs of each client. Throughout implementation, the total estimated investment is approximately R$200 million.

Truck yard

The Açu Truck Center will function as a sorting and support yard for trucks accessing the complex.

The first phase will have around 50 thousand m² and more than 240 spaces for trailers, with expansion planned to 100 thousand m² and approximately 500 spaces. The investment is around R$50 million.

The site’s structure will feature an access control system and 24-hour continuous monitoring, waiting areas, restaurant, changing rooms, Wi-Fi, community room, rest areas, space dedicated to first aid, in addition to offering spaces for transporters and service providers.

Facilities such as tire repair, mechanics, car wash, general automotive services and fuel supply point are also planned.

The objective of the project is to organize the flow of heavy vehicles and reduce informal stops on access roads, increasing road safety and operational efficiency.
