Federal deputy Zé Trovão (PL-SC) argued this Tuesday (14) that the multiplicity of conservative candidates for 2026 strengthens the right, and projected that the field will unite around Flávio Bolsonaro in the second round.

“In the end, everyone will come together in favor of Flávio Bolsonaro so that we can win these elections and return Brazil to normality”, stated the parliamentarian during the Economic and Institutional Development Forum of LIDE Mato Grosso.

Trovão also made a critical assessment of the future of the Brazilian left. For him, the progressive camp is dependent on Lula and has no worthy successors. “When Lula passes, it’s over. Who will represent the left? Guilherme Boulos? Gleisi Hoffmann? These people are not big enough,” he said.

The forum brought together former vice-president Hamilton Mourão, former minister Carlos Fávaro, presidential pre-candidate Aldo Rebelo, former minister Henrique Meirelles and former Minister of Agriculture Roberto Rodrigues.
