PF operation targets interstate drug trafficking gang

The PF (Federal Police) launched, this Wednesday (15), an operation to investigate an interstate criminal organization involved in drug trafficking.

Named Operation Luxury, the action seeks to comply with 22 preventive arrest warrants, five temporary arrest warrants, 39 search and seizure warrants, in addition to the asset seizure of around R$61 million reais.

The operation occurs simultaneously in 3 states: São Paulo (São Paulo) and Mato Grosso do Sul (Campo Grande, Dourados, Ribas do Rio Pardo and Vista Alegre).

The action is the result of investigations initiated in the city of Frutal (MG), in April 2025, after the seizure of around 1.1 tons of marijuana.

During the investigation, the direct link of those involved to other illicit shipments was discovered, resulting in the total seizure of 5.9 tons of the narcotic substance in several municipalities.

According to the investigation, the evidence shows the existence of a structured and stable criminal organization, focused on of drugs and association for trafficking.

Furthermore, the group would use mechanisms to hide and disguise illicit values, characterizing money laundering practices, through the and interposed persons.

The operation has the collaboration of 160 police officers and is still ongoing.
