Infantino guarantees Iran in World Cup: ‘It will come, without a doubt

The 2026 World Cup, the first to feature 48 teams, will take place from June 11 to July 19

FIFA president Gianni Infantino guaranteed this Wednesday (15) that Iran will “without a doubt” compete in the 2026 World Cup. “Iran will come, without a doubt”, to the tournament that will be played in the United States, Mexico and Canada, said Infantino during an event organized by the CNBC television channel in Washington. “We hope that at this point [o início da Copa, em 11 de junho]the situation is a peaceful situation, which would really help”, explained the leader.
