Slovak influencer Filip “Jovinečko” Jovanovič v admitted that he had received before the presidential election an offer of 25,000 to 30,000 euros for supporting Petr Pellegrini on Instagram. Although he did not reveal the identity of the intermediary at the time, according to the findings, she became interested in the case the police, who have already summoned him for questioning.
Investigation possible illegal financing of Petr Pellegrini’s presidential campaign is gaining momentum. Filip Jovanovič testified before the anti-corruption unit that she contacted him by phone in April 2024 Zuzana Strausz Plačková. The businesswoman should have offered him cooperation with the fact that other well-known faces will join the campaign to support the candidate.
Very quickly Plačková herself spoke up, which pointed out that this is common practice. “Whenever there are any elections, various advertising agencies are simply approached, looking for actors, singers, influencers to support the given parties. I don’t know why people here are making a science out of it because this has been working this way for years and it’s not only working here but around the world. It’s just normal,” she said in an Instagram video on Tuesday. You can find the VIDEO in the gallery.
She then decided to go back in time and described her version of events. “As for the phone call to him, I was just with an acquaintance of mine who does such campaigns. He asked me if I knew Jovineček and wanted to tell him about such an offer that came to them. So I said yes ok i’ll call him” she said to begin with.
She didn’t walk around the hot mess during their phone call. “I normally asked him if he would support someone in the elections, right? they offer him around 10,000 euros, it wasn’t 30,000 euros at all. He replied that the other party had already called him and offered him much more. So I don’t know why only one side is being attacked here now,” she emphasized that, according to her, the whole situation is being inflated unnecessarily.
Dominika Kavaschová’s sharp reaction
She reacted sharply to Plačková’s words about the fact that actors are usually involved in similar campaigns actress Dominika Kavaschováwhich objected to paid political advertising. “Well… I don’t know what actors he’s talking about, because I can say for me and all my colleagues that we wouldn’t take a penny. It doesn’t exist! That’s the first thing,” she wrote on Wednesday on the social network.
She immediately added that in their case it is a diametrically different approach to supporting candidates. “The second thing is that the people we elected wouldn’t even think of offering us any money for showing sympathy. That’s called character.” she clarified the strong position she stands for and at the same time swept off the table any speculation about bribery.
She ended her reaction with a strong message about the values by which she and her colleagues are guided. “We do things out of conviction and in the belief that things can work better. NEVER! I repeat, never for dirty money,” she concluded. With these words, she made it clear that her clear conscience and honesty are more important to her than any financial gain or offers.
