Harry and Meghan meet in Australia with survivors of the Bondi Beach shooting

British Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle visited Bondi Beach in Australia on Friday to meet with survivors of the massacre that occurred in December in that famous world surfing destination.

A father and his son are accused of killing 15 people in December in a series of shootings against the Jewish Hanukkah holiday in Bondi Beach, Australia’s deadliest attack in three decades.

Enrique and Meghan visited this Sydney beach in the last day of his whirlwind visit to Australiawalked barefoot across the sand, accompanied by rescue teams from the Bondi Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

Later they spoke with leaders of the Jewish community and with survivors of this attack that shocked Australia.

In the photos you can see the couple listening attentively while they spoke with the survivor Elon Zizerbwho was shot several times while protecting his children.

Enrique and Meghan have been very well received in Australia, but Some critics have questioned the use of taxpayer money to ensure the couple’s safety during this visit.

The couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and later moved to the west coast of the United States following a bitter rift in the royal family.

They are parents of two young children, living in California, while Enrique tries to repair relations with his father, King Charles III of England, who remains the head of state in Australia.

Naveed Akram and his father Sajid are accused of the Sydney beach attack in December.

Naveed is accused of terrorism, he was charged with 15 counts of murder, dozens of counts of causing injury to a person with intent to kill and planting explosives.

Sajid was killed by police firing during the attack.
