The government special, which was supposed to bring part of the Slovak delegation from a trip in Vietnam, remained stuck in the Kazakh city of Almaty due to a technical malfunction. states . While the prime minister and members of the government returned to Slovakia a few days ago, the rest of the delegation, consisting mainly of businessmen, was supposed to arrive yesterday.
The malfunction, the elimination of which will take at least several days and whose exact cause is not yet known, occurred during a refueling stopover. A second government special vehicle was sent to Kazakhstan to rescue the passengers, which arrived early today. However, due to its smaller capacity, it could not take on board all the delegates and dozens of Slovak businessmen thus remained stuck in Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs subsequently instructed stranded businessmen to ensure their return home via commercial flights. According to available information, this part of the delegation should currently be on the way through Turkey, while their arrival in Slovakia is expected in the evening.
