The new pedestrian bridge connecting Algés to the riverside area has already been installed. The intervention took place last night.
With Avenida Marginal closed, many gathered to watch the installation of the new crossing between Algés and Passeio Marítimo.
Long promised, the bridge is now beginning to take shape. It is the first phase of a project to improve access to the riverfront.
For now, the access still needs to be completed. The first of three bridges is expected to open in two months.
