A 12-year-old boy experienced moments of great danger when he was trapped in the door of a bus, in Australia, and was dragged several meters. The case occurred in a suburb of Melbourne and was recorded on video, eventually being publicized on social media by the young man’s mother.
In the images, it is possible to see the boy trapped by his backpack in the rear door of the vehicle, which continued on its journey without the driver noticing the situation. According to the mother, her son used that bus every day for about two months to go to school.
The bus only stopped at the next stop, at which point the doors opened and the boy finally managed to free himself.
After the video was released, the transport company Ventura announced the termination of the contract with the driver involved. In a statement, the company classified the case as worrying, guaranteed support for the victim and family, and assured that it will reinforce safety protocols and training for its drivers.
