The change in the law announced by Social Affairs Minister Korinna Schumann (SPÖ) regarding assessments of, among other things, the Pension Insurance Institution (PVA) is now being introduced through parliament. This is intended to establish a legal right to have a trusted person accompany you from September onwards, for applications such as disability pensions or from the Ministry of Social Affairs. A corresponding initiative proposal will be submitted to the plenary session of the National Council on Thursday.
