A survey released this Friday (April 24, 2026) shows that the federal deputy (PT) and the former governor of Rio de Janeiro (PL), who is in the lead in the Senate race for Rio de Janeiro. Benedita has 30.4% of voting intentions and Castro, 29.9%. The study tested 2 different scenarios. Read (PDF – 528 kB).
In a 2nd scenario, without Cláudio Castro, the councilor (PL) appears behind Benedita, who has 32.3%, with 28.1% of the votes.
Here are the results:
Paraná Pesquisas interviewed 1,680 people in 63 municipalities in Rio de Janeiro from April 21 to 23, 2026. The margin of error is 2.4 percentage points, plus or minus. The confidence level of the survey is 95%. It is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number RJ-04997/2026. The study cost R$45,000 and was paid for with its own resources.
