BEIRUT, Apr 24 (Reuters) – A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon is meaningless in light of continued Israeli ‘hostile acts,’ a Hezbollah parliamentarian said on Friday, in response to a three-week extension of the truce.
Parliamentarian Ali Fayyad’s statement was the Iran-backed group’s first response to the ceasefire extension announced on Thursday by US President Donald Trump.
Fayyad said his group has the right to respond to Israeli attacks on Lebanese targets.
