Tornadoes in Oklahoma leave at least 10 injured, local media say

At least 10 people were injured after tornadoes hit the northern state of Oklahoma, in the United States, on Thursday (23), reported KOCO News, an ABC News affiliate.

According to the report, emergency crews were conducting search and rescue operations following a , affecting Vance Air Force Base, located in Enid, Oklahoma.

The (NWS) reported, in an alert issued on Thursday night, that there was a possibility of hail the size of a golf ball.

Roofs, windows, vehicles and trees were also expected.

The agency advised residents to go to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building for safety.
