ETFs have been gaining ground in the global market and changing the way investors access digital assets. ETFs are exchange-traded index funds that replicate the performance of an asset. In other words, you buy a share on the stock exchange and start monitoring that market without having to purchase the asset directly.
The approval of these products in the United States paved the way for a global movement, with other countries following the same trend and increasing the participation of large funds in the sector.
This and other economic issues will be covered in the program and and help make better decisions in the market.
Unlike direct purchase, where the investor needs to deal with digital wallets and asset security, The ETF allows exposure to bitcoin through the exchange.
According to Bernardo Pascowitch, presenter of Resenha do Dinheiro, the ease of operation explains the rapid expansion of these products.
“Those who invest directly need to worry about the custody of cryptos. With the ETF, you just buy the share on the exchange and don’t have to deal with it. For large investors, this is the simplest way to have exposure to bitcoin”, he advises.
In addition to practicality, liquidity is another relevant factor.
“As you can trade the ETF at any time on the exchange, it is easier to enter and exit”, explains Marilia Fontes, founding partner of Nord Investimentos.
Thiago Godoy, the “Finance Daddy”, the advancement of these products is also seen as a sign of the sector’s maturity.
“Cryptocurrencies are no longer something unknown and have passed.”
Another movement that draws attention is the number of companies that started using bitcoin as part of the asset accumulation strategy.
This means that, instead of keeping all the money in traditional investments, some companies are buying, betting on the asset’s appreciation over time.
