The first film in the biopic “Michael”, which tells the story of pop star Michael Jackson (1958-2009), follows the artist’s trajectory from childhood with The Jackson 5 to beginning of solo career.
This first part must end around 1988, a period in which the transition to individual stardom was consolidated. As a result, several important moments in his life were left out and should be continued.
Among the events that should be explored in the second film are more controversial and emblematic phases of the singer’s life, such as the creation of the Neverland ranch, the controversies that marked his career and his last years.
Confirmation of the sequel was made by Jackie Jackson, who also serves as executive producer of the project. According to him, the idea was always to preserve as much of the story as possible, avoiding cuts that would compromise the narrative.
Filming has already been completed, but the release underwent adjustments in post-production, precisely due to the length of the material.
