Commentator SIC considered that Pedro Delgado Alves has the legitimacy to disagree with the president of the Assembly of the Republic, but criticized the way he expressed his displeasure during José Pedro Aguiar-Branco’s speech, in the solemn session of the 25th of April celebrations in Parliament.
Angelo Correia stated that Pedro Delgado Alves has the right to disagree with the President of the Assembly of the Republic.
However, the SIC commentator criticized the way in which the deputy from the Socialist Party (PS) demonstrated his displeasure with the speech of José Pedro Aguiar-Branco.
“Dr. Pedro Delgado Alves has every right to disagree with the President of the Assembly of the Republic, the President of the Republic, whoever he wants. But, on a solemn day, turning his back (…) is a distancing that he is causing that is unjustified and that reveals, from my point of view, some lack of respect. And not even wanting to listen, even if he disagrees, not wanting to listen, I think that, above all, is a childish act”, he stressed on SIC Notícias.
