Secret Service agent shot at Trump dinner

Officer was injured during an attack by a gunman at the hotel where the event was taking place

A United States Secret Service agent was shot during an attack by a gunman on a (Republican) dinner with sector journalists at the White House on Saturday (25.Apr.2026), at the Washington Hilton Hotel, in the North American capital.

The information was disclosed by Trump in an interview with journalists. The Republican stated that he had spoken to the agent and that he was fine. It also said that he was wearing protective equipment at the time of the attack.

  • injured in the attack – Trump stated that he, First Lady Melania, Vice President JD Vance and other members of the government are fine, but that a Secret Service agent was shot. The Republican said he spoke with the officer, who is fine and was wearing a bulletproof vest.
