Agro is “treated like garbage by the current government”, says Flávio at Agrishow

Presidency candidate said it is “insanity to step into the sector”; senator participated in the event in Ribeirão Preto

The senator and pre-candidate for President (PL) said this Monday (April 27, 2026) that agribusiness is “treated like trash” by the government of (PT). The statement was made during the opening ceremony of the the sector’s largest fair in Latin America, in Ribeirão Preto (SP).

“Agriculture is in the heart, in the skin of our family. The admiration and respect we have always had for this sector, which unfortunately is treated like garbage by the current government. Agriculture cannot be treated as a villain, agriculture is a solution for our Brazil. It is insanity to step so much into this sector”said Flávio.

According to the senator, Lula “has no sensitivity” to the needs of the sector.

The pre-candidate stated that the government of his father, the former president (PL), resolved “people’s real problems” and did “the biggest agrarian reform in history”.

“What we see from the current president of the Republic is hatred. We see what his heart is full of coming out of his mouth. A person who says he is wronged, persecuted, has not learned anything from life, then I am convinced that wisdom has nothing to do with the time you lived, but with what you learned”, these.
