Arsenal’s women turn Champions League semi-final against Lyon


London – Defending champions Arsenal presented in the semi-final first leg of the Women’s Champions League on Sunday. Without the injured ÖFB team goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger, who will leave the club at the end of the season, the Gunners beat Olympique Lyon at home 2-1 (0-1). DFB star Jule Brand gave the French women the lead at the Emirates Stadium (18th). An own goal from Ingrid Engen (59′) and a goal from Olivia Smith (83′) led to England’s home win. The second leg will take place next Saturday in Lyon.
