The Court of Justice granted it to the conservative video production company Brasil Paralelo.
The measure, requested by the PSOL Feminist Bench in the City Council and the Legislative Assembly, refers to the recording of the documentary “Pedagogy of abandonment” inside Emei (Municipal School of Early Childhood Education) Patrícia Galvão, in the central region of the capital.
The producer is accused of having manipulated children’s testimonies to make a documentary critical of the influence of the left on children’s education.
“The imposition of secrecy on administrative proceedings constitutes an exceptional measure, and must be duly motivated, in light of the principle of publicity enshrined in article 37 of the Federal Constitution, which guarantees, as a general rule, the publicity of administrative acts”, says Josué Vilela Pimentel in the decision.
The judge granted 15 days for the city hall to fully disclose the process that authorized the producer to film in the children’s space, and to justify the reason for the secrecy.
“We will continue to fight in the courts and in the Public Prosecutor’s Office so that this documentary, which reproduces fake news against children’s public education, is taken off the air” says Sílvia Ferraro, coverer of PSOL’s Feminist Caucus.
In the action, the Psolist parliamentarians also asked for the prohibition of the use of public space for recording, but the judge denied the demand as he considered it ineffective, since the documentary is already on air.
