A former member of parliament died († 82): His colleagues sent him a touching message to heaven!

Ján Kerekréti, a former deputy of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic, who was a member of the OĽANO parliamentary club, died at the age of 82. He held the position of deputy from 2020 to 2023. The Slovakian Movement reported about it on the social network.

“Janko was an encouragement to everyone who knew him. He knew how to help, give advice, and when it came to the fight for the good of Slovakia, the fight for values, he was principled and never wavered. In his life optimism, search for the truth and giving kind words, he was an example for all of us.” said the movement.

Kerekréti was born on October 25, 1943, lived in Bratislava and was the general secretary of the Slovak Evangelical Alliance. During the communist regime, he had to graduate from a secondary industrial school for political reasons. He worked as a train driver. He dedicated his life to the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Slovakia, where he worked for 44 years at the General Episcopal Office. He ran in the 22nd place of the candidate OĽANO, he received 1788 votes. He was a member of the NR SR Committee for Incompatibility of Functions and the NR SR Committee for Social Affairs.
