BB invests R$10.8 million in agrorobotics and invests in the carbon market

Banco do Brasil announced an investment of R$10.8 million in the startup Agrorobótica, in a round aimed at expanding technological solutions for soil analysis and generation of carbon credits.
The contribution was made through the institution’s venture capital arm, in partnership with the manager VOX Capital, and reinforces the bank’s strategy of expanding its operations in innovation and sustainability in agribusiness, as presented in the .

Agrorobótica, incubated by Embrapa, develops laser-based technology capable of analyzing chemical properties of the soil and measuring stored carbon. The proposal is to transform this information into financial assets, such as carbon credits, with an estimated potential of up to R$1 billion in the coming decades.
According to the bank, the investment seeks to accelerate the scale of the solution and expand producers’ access to precision agriculture tools, at a time when the sector demands more efficiency and environmental traceability.
