Research released this Wednesday (29) shows the current governor of São Paulo with a 17% advantage over Haddad (PT) in the 2nd round
The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), leads all scenarios 1st and 2nd rounds in the dispute for re-election, according to the Genial/Quaest survey released this Wednesday (29).
In the two 1st round scenarios raised by the research, Tarcísio appears with up to 40% of voting intentionscontra 28% of his main opponent, Fernando Haddad (PT). See scenario by scenario:
Scenario 1
No first scenariowith the largest number of opponents, Tarcísio appears with 38%while Haddad has 26% of voting intentions.
Kim Kataguiri (Missão) and lawyer Paulo Serra (PSDB) appear next with 5% each.

Regarding the second scenariowithout the presence of Paulo Serra, Tarcísio leads with 40%while Haddad appears with 28%.
Who is in third position is Kim Kataguiri with the same 5%.

2nd round
The Genial/Quaest survey also simulated a second round between Tarcísio de Freitas and Fernando Haddad. The current head of the São Paulo Executive also appears in the leadcom 49%. The former Minister of Finance has 32% of voting intentions.
Those undecided total 8%, while White/Null/Will not vote appears at 11%.
The survey interviewed 1,650 voters in São Paulo between the 23rd and 27th of April. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, and the confidence level of the estimates is 95%. The survey was registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number SP-03583/2026.
