The Ministry of Labor and Employment estimates that the Desenrola 2.0 program will cause an impact of R$4.5 billion on the FGTS (Service Time Guarantee Fund), informed the head of the department, Luiz Marinho, this Wednesday (29).
The minister explained that workers will be able to use up to 20% of their FGTS balance to pay off their debts after renegotiation through the program.
Therefore, if the beneficiary has a debt of R$2,000 and his/her FGTS balance is sufficient to pay off the debt, he/she may authorize Caixa Econômica Federal to transfer the amount of the fund to the creditor financial institution. Luiz Marinho said that the transfer will be carried out directly between the banks.
