Quaest research shows the former minister of the Civil House with 24% of voting intentions, followed by the former governor, with 22%
A Quaest survey released this Wednesday (April 29, 2026) shows that the pre-candidates (PT) and (PT) lead the race for the Senate in Bahia.
Rui Costa, who governed Bahia from 2015 to 2022, has 24% of voting intentions, 31% in the 1st vote scenario and 16% in the 2nd vote scenario. In the combination of votes, he appears numerically ahead of Jacques Wagner, governor of the State between 2007 and 2014, who has 22% of voting intentions – 20% in the 1st vote scenario and 24% in the 2nd vote scenario. Quaest asked: “If the Senate election were held today, which of these candidates would you vote for?”.

The Quaest survey interviewed 1,200 people aged 16 or over in 61 municipalities in Bahia from April 23 to 27, 2026. The margin of error is 3 percentage points, plus or minus. The confidence level of the survey is 95%. The survey is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number BA-03657/2026. The study cost R$246,482.01. It was paid by Banco Genial.
REJECTION
The survey also measured the rejection rate of pre-candidates for the Senate in Bahia. Jacques Wagner has the highest rate: 39%.
