Drexler harshly criticized him for Let’s Dance, Koleník’s lightning reaction: A legacy that speaks for itself!

In the eighth round of the special 11th series of the dance show Let’s Dance actor Ján Koleník and dancer Dominika Rošková performed contemporary and rumba. It was their second performance that Tatiana Drexler did not like, who did not spare criticism. The star of the series “Dunaj, at your service” commented on the harsh words of the judge in an interview for the portal.

The favorite artist is used to words of praise and enthusiasm, but after the last performance, everything was different. Tatiana Drexler did not give him anything this time and subjected him to sharp criticismin which she reproached him for shortcomings from the choreography itself to his technical performance. “I take it with absolute humility. It’s justified,” he said at the beginning.

Although he accepts the juror’s reservations, he also explained the artistic intention that he and his partner pursued. “In short, we are going some way in this show and we chose dramaturgy and dance performancewhich is slow and intimate in a way that did not meet with understanding and response, which is completely normal,” he pointed out at the margin of embarrassed reactions.

According to him, constructive criticism is important and he took the experienced dancer’s opinion to heart. “I take it as part of the process. Every time you think of something, create something, it may not turn out the way you thought, so I take it with absolute humility. Tána is also right at the end. Rumba can be rendered more dynamically.” he admitted.

Despite the fact that their vision did not quite pass the jury this time, the actor does not lose his determination and would like to show another face of this dance in the future. “What we wanted to bring in it and what we were looking for in it may not have appealed to them as much as we expected. Let’s go ahead and have a rumba… So I don’t know if we’ll have the chance to repeat it, but I hope so and I would unpack it there. We will try to bring it in another dance, if possible,” emphasized his plans on the floor.

Rošková also commented on the whole situation, revealing that the choice of music and the overall direction of the rumba had been planned long in advance. “The evaluation of the jury actually showed that it was not the right choice. On the other hand, after the transfer, two girls stopped me and said that they had never seen in their life such a beautiful rumba. Maybe that’s exactly how someone needed to see it,” said Dominika.

Sharp criticism of Tatiana Drexler

The long-time judge of the Let’s Dance show has never hidden the fact that she is a fan of Ján’s dance art, but this time the sympathy went to the side. While in the previous rounds she mostly blamed him for little things, in the eighth round she did not spare criticism. “For me, Janíčka, it was over-emotional, lost, and the foundation was missing. For me, rumba is step-hip-step-hip and body movement, rhythm. I’m sorry, but this was more theater than rumba.” she declared angrily.

In the overall assessment, her indignation increased even more. “It was nice. After all, everything about Jan is nice, but… when that Kiko performed such a quickstep here, don’t sell me this from Koleník as a rumba,” she reproached the actor.

Laura Arcolinová immediately spoke, trying to find a more conciliatory tone. “That tenderness and fragility was there. I just one thing, when you started that samba in that first round… there was that back moving, there were those rhythms,” she remembered. “Where is it, Jan?” however, Drexler jumped sharply into her speech with a fixed look at Koleník.

“Then maybe a little more, because it suits you very well,” Laura finished her thought. “Does he know where they are?” the dancer living in Germany was not deterred, and at the end she came forward with a teasing question. The dancing couple listened to the verdict without saying a word, leaving an awkward moment in the hall.
