The EU institutions are currently fighting over the so-called AI omnibus, which is intended to adapt or weaken the Union’s AI Act, which was passed in 2024. Last night the second trilogue, which was originally hoped to be the final one, failed. The sticking point was exemptions for companies on the one hand and the ban on so-called nudification apps on the other.
