At the end of April, the capital of Slovakia came alive again with fashion! The starting third decade of the BRATISLAVA FASHION DAYS (BMD) project was a visual experience for the audience, to whom the designers showed the best from the SPRING/SUMMER season. Over the course of two days, BMD organizer Mária Reháková brought to the guests the creations of stalwarts of Slovak fashion design and young creative authors.
Former tennis player and former Slovak parliamentarian Romana Tabaková came to the parades covered in a brown coat. As she revealed to Koktejla with musician Teri Čikoš, she once again relied on minimalism, in which she feels best. “Because I’m a tall woman, I want the simplest things possible. But today, for example, my shoes are the main accessory,” she revealed about the choice of outfit.
How much does he like the aforementioned minimalism, does he tolerate expensive fashion in it or can he combine cheaper pieces?
“The older I get, the more I’m into high-quality fashion, because I don’t want to buy something for cheap, I have to change it in two weeks. But I have no problem having T-shirts or some simple pieces from cheaper stores. Now I’m more patient with a high-quality handbag, but I’m not in favor of those things being labeled, that’s the gimmick. I wore this camel coat all evening today too. It’s just a high-quality coat, almost 10 years old and that’s…” she emphasized.
Tabaková was a prominent person in politics and now she is an assistant to deputy Dušan Muňek. What is he planning next? “We’ll see. The elections are next year, that’s almost a year and a half away. I enjoy politics, because for me it’s a service to people. I’m a very humane and contact person. I already have the laws ready. We’ll see, the election, that all changes a week before the election. So we’ll see. When I’m supposed to be there, I’ll be there, and if I’m not, so be it I will still be in public life“, declared the ex-politician.
