The maintenance guarantee for single parents anchored in the government program will become reality as a support fund, SPÖ Social Minister Korinna Schumann announced on Saturday in the Ö1 Journal. The corresponding draft law agreed with the coalition partners is due to be reviewed on Monday. 35 million euros per year are planned, the Ministry of Social Affairs said in response to an APA request. The plan is to start on July 1, 2026. Those affected by partner violence will also be supported.
