The National Network for Learning, Social Promotion and Integration (Renapsi) won a public call from the government of Goiás to manage a program that seeks to insert young people into the job market.
The entity was founded by businessman Adair de Freitas Meira, who was arrested this Thursday (30) in an operation investigating a money laundering scheme linked to .
Renapsi claims that it was not the target of the operation and that Meira does not currently hold positions in its structure.
The SP Civil Police suspect that the businessman has laundered millions of reais through entities in his name or linked to him.
The Apprentice of the Future program, run by the government of Goiás, provides 8,500 vacancies for a five-year contract with the possibility of extension for the same period. In ten years, it could generate around R$2 billion.
The initiative for young people in vulnerable situations was expanded in 2025 and is one of the main showcases of the administration of Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), who resigned from the government to run for President of the Republic.
This year, the government approved the result of the call won by Renapsi. The contract, already signed, is in force. But it is being questioned in court on suspicion of targeting the event.
The government of Goiás stated that it is not the State’s responsibility to control the financial movements of contracted companies and that the contracting was carried out in accordance with the law.
He also said that the program undergoes continuous monitoring and that the operation that targeted Meira has no relationship with the contracts signed with the government.
