Iran's Revolutionary Guard challenges US to choose between 'impossible' military operation or 'bad deal'

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard this Sunday challenged the United States to choose between an “impossible” military operation or a “bad deal” in the conflict in the Middle East.

“The United States’ room for maneuver in decision-making has diminished” and the US President “has to choose between an impossible military operation or a bad agreement with the Islamic Republic”, said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ intelligence service in a statement released on state television.

The Iranian intelligence service cited, among other things, an Iranian “ultimatum” regarding the US blockade of the country’s ports and a “change in tone” by China, Russia and Europe towards Washington.

“The United States is the only pirate in the world with aircraft carriers. Our ability to confront pirates is no less than our ability to sink warships. Prepare to see your aircraft carriers and your forces end up in the ship graveyard,” threatened Mohsen Rezaei, former commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary Guard, appointed in March as military advisor to the new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei, on the social network X.

The situation between the two countries remains at an impasse since a after almost 40 days of Israeli and American air strikes against Iran and retaliatory attacks by Tehran in the Middle East region.
