This colorless liquid from the group of sugar alcohols is an excellent humectant, i.e. it binds with water. This makes glycerin one of the best moisturizing substances. It can be used not only in cosmetics, but also in washing towels. Just add 3 tablespoons of glycerin to the softener compartment and set the wash. Glycerin will be added in the last phase of washing, thanks to which it will act directly on the surface of the material. In this way, even old and stiff towels will regain their softness. Glycerin is safe for the washing machine and you can add it every time you wash your towels.

Another advantage is the ability of vinegar to remove detergent and limescale deposits. Hard water and excess detergent make towels rough and less absorbent, and vinegar helps dissolve these deposits, restoring them to their original absorbency and softness.
However, there is a key limitation to remember: spirit vinegar, contrary to popular belief, is not a stain remover. It does not have properties that dissolve typical dirt such as grease, food or mud.
