Vienna – The Austrian book market only grew by 0.1 percent in 2025. The country’s love of reading still seems to be great, at least if one uses library figures as a benchmark: with more than 29 million loans and almost eleven million visits last year, the level of 2019, the year before the corona pandemic, was “impressively exceeded”, as it said in a press release on Monday.
