Péter Magyar will break the long-standing practice and withdraw the Prime Minister’s protection from the Anti-Terrorist Center.
On Monday, future Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar informed the commander of the Anti-Terrorist Center (TEK), General János Hajdu, by telephone, that the personal protection of the Prime Minister will be provided by the Police Emergency Unit instead of the TEK from May 9. Changing the protection of the prime minister
According to the server, Hajdu was a long-term bodyguard of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who established TEK in 2010 and entrusted him with the protection of the president and the speaker of the parliament in addition to the protection of the prime minister.
According to the server hvg.hu, former president János Áder also took a similar step, who in 2015 replaced the TEK security guard with members of the newly created presidential security unit due to suspicion of reporting on his private meetings to Orbán.
