“Project Freedom”. US Navy to escort ships stuck in Strait of Hormuz

Donald Trump, President of the USA

The United States Navy will begin escorting ships from countries that are “mere neutral and innocent bystanders” stranded through the Strait of Hormuz, Donald Trump announced on his “Truth Social” platform.

The president Donald Trump announced this Sunday that the United States will begin an effort to free the trapped ships on Monday morning. In one of his Truth Social, Trump gave few details about the operation, including whether the US Navy would be involved

Trump described the action as a “humanitarian gesture” intended only to assist neutral countries that were not involved in the war between the US and Israel against Iran. “This process, Freedom Project, will begin on Monday morning, Middle East time”, added the North American president.

Countries around the worldalmost all of whom are not involved in the dispute in the Middle East that is taking place so visibly, and violently, in plain sight, asked if we could help free their Ships, which are trapped in the Strait of Hormuz, in a situation with which they have absolutely nothing to do — Saint mere neutral and innocent spectators!” Trump wrote.

“The movement of ships is only intended to free people, companyif countries that they did absolutely nothing wrong — they are victims of circumstances”, highlights the president who launched the war that created these circumstances.

“For the good of Iran, the Middle East and the United States, we have informed these countries that we will guide your ships safely out of these restricted Waterways so that they can freely and fully carry on their business,” said Donald Trump.
“I have told my Representatives to inform them that we will use every effort to get their ships and crews safely out of the Strait. In each case, they have stated that they will not return until the area becomes safe for navigation, and for everything else”, he added.

The North American president says he “is aware” that his representatives are maintaining very positive talks with Iranand that these conversations could “lead to something very positive for everyone”.

Donald Trump ends his post by assuring that “if, somehow, this humanitarian process is subject to interferencethis interference will, unfortunately, have to be faced firmly“.

Until the start of the Iran War in February, any ship, from any nation, freely crossed the road that Trump now intends to free. At this moment, there are hundreds of ships on both sides of the strait, immobilized in the Persian Gulf or the Gulf of Oman.

The sovereignty of this maritime route, of great importance for the world economy and through which it passed 20% of world oil productionwas shared between two countries: Iran, to the north, and Oman, to the south.

At the moment, Iran claims sovereignty over the strategic maritime passage, and exercises, in practice, this sovereignty: Tehran, both through the laying of mines and the threat of board any ship that tries to pass through without your authorization.

The USA. The interruption of commercial shipping caused uncertainty in the markets, caused the price of crude oil to soar and affected the global economy.

The War in Iran and the strangulation of oil supplies forced many of the countries most severely affected by the war to recognize the benefits of a , in order to avoid future shocks related to disruptions in oil supplies.
