It was probably the most obnoxious urbanistic rage in recent US television history. Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman), fictional university professor in New Orleans, complained in the show’s first season Treme very sweary about how the US government completely abandoned his city after the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans has more culture in a single neighborhood than all of the sprawling suburbs of Houston and Atlanta combined.
