The attacks in the Gaza Strip do not stop: Three Palestinians, including a child, were killed in shelling

At least three Palestinians, including a child, were killed and several others injured in Israeli fire in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. The attacks occurred despite that a truce between Israel and the Palestinian militant movement Hamas has been in effect there since October. TASR writes about it according to the Reuters agency.

Rescuers said one person was killed in an Israeli airstrike near the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City and while shelling Israeli tanks in the central part of the Gaza Strip another person was killed and several others were injured. The airstrike also hit a police station in the north of Gaza, where a 15-year-old person died and several police officers were injured. Reuters previously reported that Israel has intensified attacks on police in the Gaza Strip. The police force there is controlled by Hamas and used to consolidate its control in unoccupied parts of the territory.

Attacks in the Gaza Strip are taking place despite the October 2025 ceasefire. Israel and Hamas accuse each other of violating it. According to local health workers, at least 830 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire agreement took effectwhile Israel says militants killed four of its soldiers in the same period.

Israel still occupies more than half of the territory of the Gaza Strip. In the part he controlled, he ordered residents to leave their homes and demolished almost all remaining buildings. Almost the entire population (more than 2 million people) now lives in a narrow strip along the coast, many in tents and damaged buildings, in territory under the de facto control of Hamas.
