An incident occurred today at the intersection of 15th Street and Independence Avenue in Washington, a few blocks away from , as informed by the Secret Service of .
“U.S. Secret Service agents are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting at the intersection of 15th Street and Independence Avenue in Washington, DC. One man was shot by law enforcement. His condition remains unknown at this time,” said the Secret Service’s update on platform X, without elaborating further.
Reporters at the White House said that as a precaution they were asked to gather in the Press Room until it was determined whether there was a threat to the presidential residence. A short time later, the security services informed them that they could return to their duties.
