Case of aggression against the cafeteria employee occurred last Friday (1st) and was due to an error in the order
The United Nations (UN) removed a 35-year-old employee from her duties who was caught attacking an attendant of McDonald’s in Brasília. The case occurred in the early hours of Friday (1st), in Asa Norte.
The woman works at United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). In a statement, the entity reported that it took immediate action as soon as it became aware of the episode. The employee was placed on leave, and the case was referred to the Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS), which serves as the independent investigative body of the United Nations.
The case occurred between 1:13 am and 1:30 am. The UN official started a discussion with the 34-year-old McDonald’s attendant, alleging that there was a delivery error of your order. The disagreement quickly evolved into physical attacks committed by the client against the worker.
The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) were called to contain the confusion at the cafeteria and sent those involved to the police station. The 5th Police Station (Central Area) registered the incident as bodily injuryand investigations are under the responsibility of the 2nd DP (North Wing).
In a statement, MC Donald’s informed that it took all necessary measures at the time of the incident and that it repudiates any form of violence.
