Neymar scored a goal, sealed peace with Robinho Jr.with whom he fought in training during the week, but saw the Santos only draw with Deportivo Recoleta1-1, on Tuesday (5), in Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay, in the fourth round of Group D of the South American Cup.

With the draw, Santos reached three points, against Recoleta’s four, and got complicated in the fight for a place in the round of 16 of the South American competition. The Santos team remains without a victory.

A two weeks after the call by Carlo Ancelotti for World cup, Neymar had a good performancethanks to the weak opponent. The star moved a lot, was hunted, suffered a lot of fouls, scored a goal, missed another and he got tired again in the second part of the final stage.

The teams started with lots of flaws in the framewhich prevented plays from being completed in attack. Santos, better technically and with great support from the fans, imposed themselves and concentrated plays on the left sidewhere Neymar was placed.

At eight minutes, shirt 10 was released and had twice the ball at your feet inside the boxbut did not take advantage of the opportunities. At 12, in a similar move, Neymar finished over the defense.

The chances gave confidence and enthusiasm to Santos, who increased the pace and stayed with almost 75% of ball possession. Gabriel Barbosa also tried from the edge of the area, but missed the target.

No ability for long pass exchangesRecoleta was unable to leave its field and started to be pressured all the time. To overcome the Paraguayan “bollock”, Santos risked shots from outside the area.

But it was with the touch that Santos created a great chance in the 21st minuteafter Rollheiser’s table with Bontempo, Gabriel Barbosa and Neymar arrived late to the ball crossed into the small area.

With the presence of Rollheiser on the field, Neymar received better passes and managed to appear in better condition near the area. The problem is that most of the ace’s moves were foul stops.

But, in the 41st minute, Rollheiser gave a beautiful pass to Neymar, who touched the goalkeeper’s exit to open the scoring. During the celebration, the entire reserve bench, including Robinho Jr.which was controversial throughout the week after a fight in training, hugged shirt 10.

The celebration for the goal seemed deconcentrate Santoswho almost went to the locker room with the score tied. Brazão had to make two beautiful saves.

The second half started more rhythmicallywith the teams taking turns attacking. Very active, Neymar suffered four serious fouls in less than ten minutes. The Recoleta team rotates players to take down the Santos star, while the referee saved on yellow cards.

In the 16th minute, after suffering another foul, Neymar took a good shot at the midfielder and the ball scraped the beam left by Ferreira. At 24, he completed a play of the entire attack, but missed the target.

From 25 minutes onwards, the teams presented tirednesswhich caused a higher error rate in the passes. An example of this was in the 31st minute, when Neymar showed that his reflexes were not in order, as he miss a big chance in the small areaafter a rebound by the goalkeeper from a shot by Igor Vinícius.

As Santos did not “kill” the game, the punishment came in the 41st minute. In a set pieceGaleano, who had just entered, tied the game.
