A Prio announced this Tuesday (5), that it obtained a net profit of US$460 million in the first quarter of 2026, 33% more than that recorded in the same period of 2025, when it reached a profit of US$345 million.
O Ebitda of the company, to US$ 852 million, while the Revenue Net increased 67%, to US$ 1.2 billion.
Already the lifting cost fell 26.5%, to US$9.4 per barrel in the first quarter compared to the previous quarter, reflecting the company’s operational improvement.
According to the company, the main milestone of the quarter was the start of production through the Frade field (FPSO Valente), with the first oil obtained on March 18.
“To date, we have connected three wells and, in the coming days, we will begin production of the fourth and final well with the prospect of reaching 40 thousand barrels per day in the field. In this way, we will complete the first development led by the company, reinforcing our capacity to grow with capital discipline, in addition to consolidating our second cluster in operation”, said Prio in the first quarter release.
